Telemedicine Visits

 

Connect with a Potomac Pediatrics’ Doctor or Nurse Practitioner for a same-day televisit from the comfort of your home!

Available weekdays from 8:30 to 10:30am

 

How it works:

  1. Visit Potomac Pediatrics’ scheduling page to self-schedule a same-day telemedicine appointment

    • Appoints will be scheduled with the daily telemedicine provider, you will NOT be able to select a provider.  If you would prefer to see your provider, please make an in-person office visit

  2. Check your texts/email or Healow app for an appointment link

  3. Follow the prompts on your phone or computer and wait to connect with your visit provider. 

    • Please log on at least 10 minutes before your appointment to leave time for any necessary trouble shooting

  4. Your insurance will be billed just like an office visit. Co-pays and deductibles will apply.

 

Important Disclaimers: 

  1. Not all visits make great televisits – Your provider may ask you to reschedule your telemedicine visit as an office visit based on their clinical judgment. Use the examples below to determine if your concern is appropriate for a telemedicine visit or if your child is better served in the office.

  2. Not all insurance carriers cover telemedicine –  Most, but not all, insurance carriers will cover telemedicine visits. Please check with your carrier before making an appointment. Non-covered telemedicine visits will be billed at $115.

  3. You must be in Maryland –  Insurance and other regulatory standards require patients to be in Maryland when conducting a televisit.  By utilizing this service, you are attesting you are in Maryland at the time of the visit.

  4. Your child must be present for the televisit – Insurance regulations require that the patient, not just the parents, be present for each visit.  Please make sure your child is available at the time of the visit!
