2024-2025 COVID vaccine

AVAILABLE TO ALL PATIENTS AND NON-PATIENTS

The CDC recommends everyone ages 6 months and older receive an updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 this fall and winter whether or not they have ever previously been vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine.

Potomac Pediatrics will carry the 2024-2025 formulation of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine.

We will release COVID vaccine clinics weekly as we receive shipments. If you are not able to get an appointment, please click below to complete our waitlist form. When we open new clinics we will add you to our vaccine email list so you know can schedule online.

Vaccine schedule for children 6 months – 4 years

• If your child is unvaccinated:  3 doses of the 2024-2025 COVID vaccine are needed.  Dose 2 is given 3 weeks (or more) after Dose 1.  Dose 3 is given 8 weeks (or more) after Dose 2.

• If your child received 1 prior COVID-19 vaccine dose:  2 doses of the 2024-2025 COVID vaccine are needed following the same schedule (above).

• If your child received 2 prior COVID-19 vaccine doses: 1 dose of the 2024-2025 COVID vaccine is needed, 2 months (or more) following their last dose.

Vaccine schedule for patients 5 years and older

• Regardless of prior vaccination status: 1 dose of the 2024-2025 COVID vaccine is needed.

  • The 2024-2025 vaccine does not need to be the same brand as primary series or previous booster doses

  • This year’s dose must be 2 months from last dose

  • You may elect to wait up to 3 months from previous infection
