Potomac Pediatrics was founded in 2001 with a mission to revolutionize the patient experience while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that prioritizes the health and well-being of your child and family. Integrated Care – At Potomac Pediatrics we believe that integrated care is better care. This is why we have built a true medical home for your family. In addition to our exceptional primary care services, we offer an integrated Mental Health Program, featuring a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and experienced childhood therapists. Our in-house urgent care, POPNOW, provides convenient same-day sick visits with Emergency Department-trained providers. Potomac Pediatrics is here to meet all of your child’s medical and mental health needs, under one roof.

Expanded Services – Potomac Pediatrics offers a host of services beyond your typical pediatric practice to support your families needs. Some of these services include:

- - Newborn feeding support – Our Lactation consultant can help you navigate the complexities of breastfeeding and infant nutrition throughout the first year of life.
  - Advice on demand – Our team of Advice Nurses is available throughout the day to answer your basic medical questions, assist with medication refills, or help you decide if, when, and where your child should be seen if they’re sick.
  - Classes and Seminars – Join our regular free seminars covering a variety of topics from infant nutrition to potty training to teen moods and ‘tudes, and more!
  - ‘Peanut butter parties’ A safe and supervised place for families to introduce allergens, guided by an experienced nurse.
  - Healthy Habits Clinic & POP Fitness: Unique programs designed to help your family adopt a healthier lifestyle or jumpstart your fitness routine.
  - In-house pharmacy: Convenient access to the most commonly prescribed medications, right in our office.
  - Phlebotomy – In-house blood draws and lab testing performed by experienced pediatric nurses.

- We also pay attention to the little details that make a big difference. From our coffee bar and giant fish tank to our famous bouncy ball machines, we create a welcoming, non-threatening environment where your child feels comfortable and cared for.

We LOVE Potomac Pediatrics! My children see two different doctors in the practice regularly (shout out to Drs. Weiss and Mechak who are incredible!) but we have seen almost all of the doctors, NPs, and nurses at this point and they have all been wonderful! Most recently, we've become regulars at their POP Now urgent care for same day sick visits due to my son needing stitches three times. Such a luxury! They stitched him up beautifully each time and made it easy to schedule post-stitches follow-up appointments. Another huge plus to Potomac Pediatrics is that their front desk staff is delightful! They are always so kind and helpful when I'm trying to schedule appointments. I highly recommend Potomac Peds to anyone looking for a steller pediatrician in the area.

We have been coming here since my newborn was born December 2023 and we have had a great experience so far! The booking process to see a same day provider is fantastic, I like the access to their app to send messages to providers and the hours of operation are so helpful! They’re also connected to a Pediatric Urgent Care which has also been helpful and easy to book on the app. They now have e visits for problems that you may not need to come in the office for. I love the seminars on different topics especially as a first time Mom. They also have an after hours nurse line who provides advice outside of business hours. The front desk staff is very friendly, same with Nursing and Physicians.
