We firmly believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives.
We firmly believe in the safety of our vaccines.
We firmly believe that all children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
We firmly believe, based on all available literature, evidence and current studies, that vaccines do not cause autism or other developmental disabilities.
We firmly believe that vaccinating children and young adults may be the single most important health-promoting intervention we perform as health care providers, and that you can perform as parents/caregivers.
We firmly believe that the recommended vaccines and their recommended schedule are the results of years and years of scientific study and data gathering on millions of children by thousands of our brightest scientists and physicians.
ALL patients must receive ALL vaccines recommended by the CDC and AAP (excluding COVID-19, Flu, HPV).
We strongly recommend that these vaccines be given on-time according to the CDC’s recommended vaccine schedule. We will, however, allow small variations to this schedule so far as it meets the following criteria:
Regarding vaccines recommended between 0-12 months
Regarding vaccines recommended between 12-24 months
Regarding 4-year old vaccines
Regarding babies that are born premature (before 37 weeks)
If you have questions about vaccines or our vaccine policy, we encouraged you to speak with your pediatrician.
Potomac Pediatrics will always be fully focused on helping your child and you to overcome any healthcare hurdle, with innovative, comprehensive and compassionate care.
